So glad it got released on the PS2.... for the uneducated.... it was only on the GameCube but who has one of those right?
Anyway... it's a flawless game... you play as Leon (if you know the RE series, you'll remember him) and Ada Wong makes an appearance too... (she's hot... crap i can't believe i'm saying a computer character's hot... lame... oh well)
So the gameplay is EXCELLENT, no sticky controls, no unexpected weirdness. You pick it up and you have FUN immediately.
The music, voice acting and sound effects are EXCELLENT... nothing and no one gets annoying and on your nerves... actually, the bad dude's lines are pretty cool too... "matelo!" (it means "kill him" or something in spanish).
Graphics are superb, the environment never looks samey and the characters look great and are dressed great.
Camera angle never gets in your way or annoy you, very smooth. I particularly like that it zooms in over your shoulder when you're taking a shot at the los gonados.
Oh and for the FIRST time, the chick you're protecting doesn't run out in front of your GUN and get her brains blown out. She either ducks or hides behind you when trouble starts... GOOD THINKING.
The story is great too... it stays true to the RE bio-weapon type thing, but different in a way.
Overall it's a very different game to the previous RE's BUT it stays true to the nature of RE.
Beg steal or borrow this game.. no matter what... GET IT.
I give it a 10/10 (and i don't give them out often) |
