Just had to put my two cents in for this area. The Arena seems to be the #1 spot for people to get stuck on. Personally, I though that it wasn't too difficult, but I can only say this because I've passed it.

There's pretty much two routes up to two different ledges that are about the Boss's height. To find these routes up to the ledges, simply run *around* the outer edges of the arena until you see the path up. There's typically stabbing squares on the wall that will indicate the way up.

Don't worry about the Boss hitting you when you're making your way up, as long as you work at a decent pace (ie, don't stand in one spot forever), he won't be able to hurt you.

Once you've made your way up on the ledge, the screen will go fuzzy around the edges, like cat-vision, and that's your indication to initiate speed kill.

Initiate speed kill: On the PS2, that's the triangle button. On the Xbox, that's the Y button.

Once speed kill has been initiated, the Prince will jump towards the Boss. When the Prince is in the air, the Prince's blade will *shimmer*, *glow*, *turn blue*, which is your indication to press the attack button.

Attack button: On the PS2, that's the square button. On the Xbox, that's the X button.

If you've timed it right the Prince will NOT get thrown off the Boss and you'll get a sequence of blade shimmers (about 3-4) where each time the blade shimmers, you hit the attack button.

If you get thrown off, the only reason would be because you either hit the attack button too early or too late.

You need to do the speed kill system twice, one for each eye then the Boss is blinded.

When the Boss is blinded, head towards his ankles/calves and slash away until he kneels down. Walk up behind the Boss when he's kneeling and you'll be prompted to do another speed kill.

When the screen edges go blurry/cat-vision hit triangle (PS2) or Y (Xbox) to initiate speed kill. When the blade shimmers, hit square (PS2) or X (Xbox). The blade will shimmer 3-4 times, which means you need to be ready to hit the attack button.

Again, if you get thrown off, it's because you attacked too soon or too late. There's no other reason why the Boss will throw you off him.

Frustrating? You bet... Is it gonna get harder? Hell yes...

Good luck peeps!

Yeah I know Robert! But all those dumbasses in the walkthrough kept whinging how they couldn't get past it.

I got through it pretty easy too, the part that got the most was the chariot races... boy they were annoying! Fun annoying, but annoying! Razz

Because there is a known glitch in the Xbox version. You get the speedkill indicator while you are on the "ramp" but the 2nd speedkell that is suppose to allow you to stab the hand does not show up- at least that is why I am stuck at this point.

Had a similar problem with the Sands of Time-there is a section in the Soldier's Mess Hall where Farah is suppose to scurry under a door on the upper floor and no matter what you do (at least with mine) she will not roll under the door-she walks up to it and just keeps walking while standing in front of it. the game's creators admit to this bug, but as of yet there has been no fix that I know of-ticks me off

Twisted Evil Soooo-looks like I now own 2 POP's that are faulty and can not be finished!
